Heritage street-lamp restoration - sample studio

Keep the
night lit.

We restore wooden and cast street lamps, one post at a time. Scroll and the evening comes down around this one. Use the valve on the right to bring the flame up or put it out.

01 - Dusk

Look closely first.

Every lamp arrives with a history in its grain. We read the wood, the glass and the hardware before we touch a single screw. Nothing is replaced that can be saved.

02 - The frame

Hand-fitted, not hand-me-down.

Weathered posts are dried, consolidated and re-joined with period joinery. The old finish is matched, not stripped, so the lamp keeps its age.

03 - The light

Warm, low, honest.

We tune every lamp to a warm 1,900 K glow, low enough for the street and kind to the sky. Slide the valve and watch the wood take the light.

04 - Midnight

It outlasts us.

A restored lamp is built for another fifty years of weather. We write the service history on the inside of the post, in pencil, for whoever is next.
