A small plant studio - sample concept

Room to grow.

Plants chosen for real windowsills, not catalog photos. Answer two questions about your light and your habits, and the shelf rearranges itself around you.

Interactive design demo. The matcher is a preview - nothing is sold, reserved or delivered.

Find your plant

Two questions.

Honest answers only. Plants can tell when you're optimistic about watering.

How much light do you get?

Stand where the plant would live at noon. What do you see?

How often will you water?

Be honest. The plants already know.

8 of 8plants could live on your windowsill. Answer above to narrow the shelf.

Care

Three rules, that's all.

Every plant we send home fits one of three rhythms. Learn the rhythm, keep the plant.

01

Water like rain, not like a tap

Soak the soil through, then let it dry the way weather would. Most houseplants die of kindness - a little thirst between drinks is a feature.

02

Light is a meal

South-facing is lunch, a dim corner is a snack. If a plant stretches toward the window, it's hungry - move it, don't feed it more.

03

Repot in spring

Roots want room the way you want a bigger kitchen someday. Once a year, one pot size up, fresh soil, done.

Our story

Grown slowly,
sold honestly.

verda is a fictional plant studio with a real opinion: a plant shop should sell you fewer plants, better matched. Every illustration on this page started as a sketch of an actual windowsill survivor - the snake plant that outlived three apartments, the pothos that forgives everything.

The studio, the street and the Saturday workshops are all invented for this template. The care rules, however, are the ones we'd actually give you.

The studio
Fernhill Lane, Unit 3 (not a real place)
The greenhouse
One glass roof, many opinions
The soil
Mixed on-site, peat-free (sample claim)
The policy
30-day plant check-in, fictional but kind
Visit

Saturday in the studio.

Sample opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday, ten to six. The kettle is always on, and nobody will sell you a fiddle-leaf fig for a north-facing closet. That's a promise the fictional shop takes seriously.

Questions

Asked at the counter.

Does the matcher actually sell me a plant?

No. The two questions rearrange an illustrated shelf and show a count - it's a design interaction. Nothing is added to a cart, charged, shipped or reserved, because verda is a fictional studio.

Are the plants and prices real?

The species are real and the care tags reflect common guidance. The prices, the shop, the address and the workshops are all sample content.

Are the illustrations stock?

No. Every plant, pot and leaf on this page is an original illustration drawn in code for this template.
